It was only two weeks after joining the Sleepy Hollow Chamber of Commerce that I received my first piece of business from them! A company based out of Connecticut was looking for a local photographer, they accessed the Chamber's member directory and gave me a call. It turned out that what I do was a fit for their needs and the project went very well. Thanks again for having a very up-to-date directory!

EF has benefited greatly from its relationship with the Chamber of Commerce. Through the years we have secured many internships for our students. These opportunities with local companies provide a foundation for the students to improve their English skills while garnering business skills. Students also contribute to the companies success by providing them with assistance in many forms. They typically have upper level English skills and the companies use these students for everything from basic fling to advanced computer graphic applications. Some of our students have eventually secured new Visas and gone on to work full time. The program has helped EF boost its sales to students seeking internships. We have also placed host family students with Chamber members and referral in the past. This has helped us increase our host family program as well. So EF is grateful to the Chamber and the opportunities our membership has provided for EF and our students.

When someone called the Chamber looking for a guest speaker for a meeting, as a Life Coach, my name was passed along. After speaking with the person, instead of a speaking engagement, I was hired as his Life Coach to help him with aspects of owning and running a business as a solopreneur. I'm always grateful to the Chamber for knowing what Life Coaches can do and for 'unknowingly' giving me a fabulous client!
