Tarrytown & Sleepy Hollow area offers tourists and visitors much to see and do.

For the active vacationer, our area offers swimming, boating, kayaking, bicycling, hiking, fishing, golf, horseback riding, skiing and much more. Our beautiful area parks, Rockefeller State Park and Kingsland Point Park, offer picnic and recreation facilities.

For those looking for historic sites to visit, there are many to choose from. Lyndhurst, Sunnyside, Kykuit, Philipsburg Manor, and The Union Church of Pocantico Hills are just a few of the most popular.

The Old Dutch Church of Sleepy Hollow is a Registered National Landmark that figured prominently in the famous "Legend of Sleepy Hollow". Don't miss seeing the Burial Ground! Patriot's Park in Tarrytown has the statue of John Paulding and the Hudson Valley Writer's Center in Sleepy Hollow has an eagle statue with a unique story behind it.

Also don't forget to visit the Historical Society Museum to see an extensive collection of memorabilia dating back to the 1600s. And the The Tarrytown Music Hall is a National Historic Landmark that shouldn't be missed.

Our area is also blessed with many excellent places to stay and eat. A wide selection of bed & breakfasts and inns as well as hotels and motels are all nearby. You will also find many quality restaurants that serve all types of food on all types of budgets ... and these are sure to please even the most discerning diners.

If shopping is what you crave, you'll be coming to the right place. Quaint antique, jewelry and gift shops, boutiques and art galleries line Main Street and nearby side streets in both Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow and are sure to have what you need.
